I took a look at an episode of ESPN's Detail on The Triangle Offense. The episode features former Chicago Bulls Coach Phil Jackson dissecting possessions of the 1998 NBA Finals.

Concluding Thoughts -
Phil Jackson used the Triangle Offense as the driving force behind 11 Championship teams in his career. Jackson had Hall of Famers on all of those rosters, but it was clear that the Triangle provided Jackson the ability to make small tweaks to fit the skill set of his players & counter the defense. Jackson really liked how the Triangle gave the players the freedom to make cuts as they saw fit, as well as providing a structure to guide their movements.
